A strong block association is important to the quality of life of any given neighborhood. The 1200 Dean Street  block association keeps abreast of our neighborhood needs, addresses problems and makes every effort to build on our sense of community .

This year we plan to establish partnerships with City, State and non profit agencies to help our block association address our community needs

We also look forward to working with you  to continue to improve our community.  We invite you to remain engaged and help us to make this block an even better place to live.

Holiday Lights Tree Lighting Event

Sunday, December 10th, 4:00 PM 
at the Bergen Garden
1100 Bergen Street

Delicious hot cocoa will be provided by Cocoa Grinder (711 Nostrand).

Donuts and cookies will also be served.

After the Event, we hope you to join your neighbors next door at King Tai for slightly more spirited holiday beverages!

Our annual Book Exchange is scheduled for Saturday,September 23rd. (See attachment) We need donations of gently used books for all ages.

This is a family friendly event and we look forward to your participation.

The fifth perennial block planting day will happen this Saturday, May 21st, 2016.

Meet your neighbors, plant some flowers, spread some mulch and celebrate living on one of Brooklyn’s most beautiful blocks!

Once again we will have a wide assortment of free plants, free flowers, and free mulch for you to use in our block’s tree beds and front yards.

The planting, potting and fun all start at 10:30 AM at 1230 Dean Street.
